Increase in prize money
The prize money of the 13th Salento International Chess Open has been increased from 4,000 to 5,000 euros with prizes for the top three ranked women players in the Master and Main tournaments

In the Master and in the Main Open electronic chess boards may be used and the related matches broadcast live with commentary for the benefit of the Italian and international chess community
